Its hard to find anything that is as attractive as a white smile! Due to the fact that you only get one set of adult teeth that have to last you your entire life, it can be quite hard to keep your teeth as white as they where when you where younger.
Overtime your teeth become darker or even stained because of your food and drink intake and of course general wear and tear.
This process can of course be prevented or at least delayed with proper care and some white teeth tips.

There are two in particular that are essential for avoiding discolouration and early deterioration of teeth and they are:

Keeping Teeth Clean:
Keeping your teeth clean is very important. The reason for this is because the plaque that builds up throughout the day is very harmful, it not only works at wearing away the enamel on your teeth, it also causes staining to your teeth over time.
Tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the body however it is still permeable meaning substances can be absorbed into the tiny microscopic holes on the enamel. When food and drink molecules seep into the holes they have the power to cause tooth decay which will result in possible brown patches occurring especially in your front teeth.
How to keep teeth white is essential to learn, and you do this by brushing at least twice a day, once in the morning and once at night and by flossing also. Use short circular strokes as well as long strokes especially on the surface of your side teeth. This helps to dislodge all plague that has built up.
If using an electric brush you need to hold it for at least ten seconds on very part of your teeth so it has time to work properly. Also flossing is one of the best white teeth tips as it removes the harmful plaque that brushing misses.
With the floss you need to make a clean sweeping movement from the base between your teeth right to the top of the teeth. Many people make a sea saw movement however the idea is to scrape the plaque of and take it away not take it of put push it back down with the sea saw movement. The best time to floss is at night and you only really need to do it once a day!

Avoid Drinks, Food and certain habits that cause Damage:

Drink such as red wine, black coffee and dark colour fizzy drink can really stain your teeth. As well as that foods such as curries, or other brightly coloured foods such as tumeric can also darken teeth and cause staining.
These dark colours can seep into the microscopic holes in the tooth’s enamel if proper teeth hygiene is not maintained daily.
However these stains do not become permanent straight away, if they are scrubbed off by proper brushing and flossing then the majority of the coloured substances will be removed before it penetrated deep into the tooth enamel and therefore preventing very noticeable stain or discolouration.
Smoking is also one of the most harmful habits that will effect your teeth over time, smoke cause a change in the whiteness of your teeth over time just like it would to your paintwork in your living room or the room you smoke the most.
The only way to avoid this is to quite smoking or if you find this impossible then clean at least 3 to 4 times a day with a smokers tooth paste and eat apples regularly, as the mechanical action of chewing it, helps clean your teeth.
Another thing you could do is use a natural teeth whitening kit such as Zero Peroxide, a few times a year to maintain perfect whiteness and prevent your teeth from becoming very discoloured.

All you need to remember is that you get one set of adult teeth to last you right throughout your life, without them you won’t b able to chew, or even speak properly without the help of dentures which is the last thing you want have to use!
